ONSHORE POSITIONS

PORT CAPTAIN
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Port Captain is assigned the Designated Person Ashore (DPA), develops, coordinates and ensures implementation of navigational policies and procedures. He provides additional support for Marine Departmental functions as directed by the General Manager, Marine Management.

Qualifications, Experience and Physical Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree by a recognized organization, within a relevant field of management, engineering or physical science, or
  • Qualifications and seagoing experience as a certified ship officer pursuant to the International Convention of STCW, or
  • Other formal education combined with not less than three years’ practical senior level experience in ship management operations.

OFFSHORE POSITIONS

SATURATION TECHNICIAN
Operates, repairs, and maintains all diving saturation equipment used in underwater operations. Examines malfunctioning machines and equipment, to determine defects, using hand tools and other necessary equipment. Makes adjustments, or dismantles machines for repairs or replacement of parts, using hand tools. May make temporary or emergency repairs with improvised parts or sections.

  • Life Support Systems (primary and secondary)

MASTER
Requirements:

  • Master Certificate of Competency Grade 1 (Foreign Going)
  • Master of steam or motor vessels of unlimited tonnage
  • Minimum of (2) years experience on DP operated vessels in a position no lower than Chief Officer with at least (6) months experience as Master

CHIEF OFFICER
Requirements:

  • Master Certificate of Competency Grade 1 (Foreign Going)
  • Master of steam or motor vessels of unlimited tonnage
  • Minimum of (2) years experience on DP operated vessels including (1) year as DP Operator

CHIEF MATE
Requirements:

  • First Mates Certificate of Competency (Foreign Going)
  • Master/Mate of steam or motor vessels unlimited tonnage
  • Minimum of (2) years experience on DP operated vessels

SENIOR DPO
Requirements:

  • First mates Certificate of Competency (Foreign Going)
  • DP Operators log book showing formal Dynamic Positioning training
  • Minimum (2) years experience as DP Operator on DP operated vessels
  • Minimum 250 hours panel operating time

DP OPERATOR
Requirements:

  • Second mates Certificate of Competency (Foreign Going)
  • DP Operators log book showing formal Dynamic Positioning Training
  • Minimum (1) year experience as DP Operator on DP operated DSV’s
  • Minimum 150 hours panel operating time

CHIEF ENGINEERS – 1st, 2nd, 3rd, ASSISTANT ENGINEERS
Requirements:

  • Appropriate Diesel Unlimited License for position sought (Class 1,2,3, or 4)
  • Chief Engineer – Minimum (2) years experience on DSV’s with (2) years minimum experience on DP vessels
  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Assistant Engineers – (2) minimum experience on DP vessels

AB UNLIMITED
Requirements:

  • Merchant Marines’ Document endorsed as AB Unlimited
  • Minimum (2) year experience as Able Bodied Seaman
  • Preferably experience as AB Unlimited serving on DP vessels
  • Minimum (2) years heavy lift non friction crane operator experience with crane certification on cranes up to and including 360 tons in accordance with CFR 29 part 1910.179,180,181;1917.45;1918.55;1919.70;1926.550;and API-2D rigger certification

BOSUN
Requirements:

  • Merchant mariners’ Document endorsed as AB Unlimited
  • API-RP-2D rigger certification
  • Experience in rigging crane lifts
  • Minimum (2) year experience as Bosun or Leading Deck Hand with at least (1) year served on DP vessels

MOTORMAN
Requirements:

  • Merchant Mariners’ Document endorsed as QMED (Qualified Mechanic Engine Room Department)
  • STCW 95
  • Minimum (1) year experience as QMED
  • Preferably experience served onboard DP vessel

OS/WIPER
Requirements

  • Merchant mariners’ Document endorsed as OS/Wiper
  • STCW 95
  • Minimum (1) year experience as OS/Wiper
  • Preferably experience served onboard DP vessel

CHIEF STEWARD
Requirements:

  • Formal education, training and/or degree from Culinary Institute
  • Preferred STCW 95 or minimum BST (Basic Safety Training) course
  • Food Handler Certification
  • Minimum (2) years experience working as Chief Steward/Camp Boss onboard DP vessels supervising stewards/galleyhands serving a minimum of (80) crew members

STEWARDS/GALLEYHANDS
Requirements:

  • Merchant Marines’ Document endorsed as OS/Wiper or AB
  • Preferred STCW 95 or minimum BST (Basic Safety Training) course
  • Food Handler Certification
  • Minimum (1) years experience working as steward/galleyhand onboard DP vessel

CRANE OPERATOR
Requirements:

  • Preferred Merchant Mariners’ Document endorsed as OS/Wiper
  • Preferred STCW 95 or minimum BST (Basic Safety Training) course
  • Minimum (2) years heavy lift non friction crane operator experience with crane certification on cranes up to and including 360 tons in accordance with CFR 29 part 1910.179,180,181; 1917.45; 1918.55;1919.70; 1926.550; and API-RP-2D rigger certification
  • Experience operating cranes on DP vessel

ELECTRICIAN
Requirements:

  • Preferred Merchant Mariners’ Document endorsed as OS/Wiper
  • Preferred STCW 95 or minimum BST (Basic Safety Training) course
  • Ordinary National Certificate/Higher National Certificate in electrical and electronics engineering, with high voltage endorsement
  • Experience with high voltage switchboards and switchgear and power management systems
  • Minimum (2) years experience as Electrical Engineer on DP vessel

ELECTRONICS/INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN
Requirements:

  • Preferred Merchant Mariners’ Document endorsed as OS/Wiper
  • Preferred STCW 95 or minimum BST (Basic Safety Training) course
  • Ordinary National Certificate/Higher National Certificate in electrical and electronic engineering
  • Minimum (2) years experience on DP vessel as Electronics Engineer
  • Experience with DP systems, including trouble shooting and system maintenance.

WELDER
Requirements:

  • Preferred Merchant Mariners’ Document endorsed as OS/Wiper
  • Preferred STCW 95 or minimum BST (Basic Safety Training) course
  • Valid welding certificates to:

  • National EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) Certification
  • Computer literate with experience in windows environment
  • Preferred experience in offshore environment or DP vessel

DIVER – SURFACE SUPPLIED
Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of commercial oilfield diving experience with references
  • Must own personal dive equipment (approved helmet, weight belt, bail-out,wetsuit, etc.)
  • Must be available for rapid response call-out work on 24/7 basis
  • Skills desired include DMT, NDT 9MT, FMD, UT Thickness), Burning, Mixed gas (includes Rack Operation), and/or Construction/Rigging

TENDER
Requirements: Graduate of accredited Dive School

EHS ADVISORS
Requirements:

  • Experience with EHS offshore diving, drilling, well intervention or construction
  • Willing to work offshore rotation
  • Related EHS certification preferred
  • Computer skills with word, excel and internet
  • Good communications skills, written and verbal
